The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is involved in the experiment.
Tower Ridge Recreation Area is getting a ski trail groomer to replace its 30-year-old equipment. The county has budgeted $50,000 and the Eau Claire Ski Striders Club is raising another $150,000 for the machine. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much snow to groom so far this winter.
Tower Ridge and Big Falls have received payment kiosks for purchasing passes with credit cards. Today people are more likely to carry credit cards than check books.
