Professional Joe

I spent 34 years as the outdoors/conservation reporter at the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram. My last three years included covering the Eau Claire County Board. Previous jobs include working for the US Forest Service in northern Wisconsin, being a naturalist and a cross-country ski instructor, banding geese at Horicon Marsh, writing press releases about research at UW-Madison, serving in the Peace Corps in Tunisia, North Africa, working to help develop national parks there.
